A Penumbral lunar eclipse will take place on 23rd March 2016. This is the first of two lunar eclipses in 2016.

The duration of penumbral eclipse is 4 hour 15 minute 26 second.

A lunar eclipse can occur only at full Moon. Lunar eclipses occur when Earths shadow blocks the light from Sun, which otherwise reflects off the Moon.
