Curiosity rover successfully landed on Mars

NASA's curiosity rover mission successfully landed on mars on 6th August at 05:32 GMT. The rover has landed in a deep crater near the equator of the planet. The vehicle is about one tonne heavy.

The mission will be busy for atleast two years to search for evidence that Mars may once have supported life.

The rover travelled about 35 billion kilometer and spended 9 months to reach mars.
